Most homeowners don’t think about their roof until they have to. Then there’s a leak, missing shingles, moss buildup, or an inspection report you weren’t expecting, and suddenly you’re making a major decision about a part of your home you may not know much about.
We started Rose & Timber Roofing to make that moment feel less stressful, more clear, and better cared for.
We’re a Portland-area residential roofing company offering roof replacement, roof repair, and roof inspections for homes throughout Portland and the surrounding communities. Our focus is simple: clear explanations, written estimates that make sense, and enough time and information for you to make a confident decision about your home.
We won’t pressure you. And we won’t tell you that you need a full replacement if you don’t. If we recommend repair, replacement, or further inspection, we’ll show you what we’re seeing, explain why it matters, and walk you through the options clearly.

Meet The Team
Rose & Timber grew out of two things: roofing experience and a better way to serve homeowners.
Rose & Timber was founded by Sam Powell and Catherine Fish after seeing the same pattern again and again: homeowners making a major investment in their home, but being met with confusing estimates, unclear communication, and a process that felt more transactional than cared for.
Sam brings the roofing experience. Catherine brings the customer experience, operations, and communication side. Together, they built Rose & Timber to give Portland-area homeowners a roofing company that feels clear, thoughtful, and trustworthy from the first call to the final walkthrough.
Sam Powell, Co-Founder & Field Lead
Sam was born and raised in Portland and has spent the last eight years working in roofing. With experience across commercial roofing and residential construction, he brings a practical understanding of how roofs are built, how they protect a home, and what it takes to do the work right.
As the Responsible Managing Individual on Rose & Timber’s Oregon CCB license, Sam is accountable for the quality and code compliance of every job we put our name on.
He brings steady experience, honest judgment, and a deep respect for the homes he works on.
Catherine Fish, Co-Founder
Catherine brings 17+ years of experience in marketing, operations, partnerships, and business strategy. She has spent her career building brands, shaping growth strategies, and making complex decisions easier to understand.
At Rose & Timber, she helps lead the business strategy, operations, and brand behind the company, making sure homeowners get clear information, organized follow-up, and a process that feels thoughtful from start to finish.
